my name is lily rousseau.

             Hello! I’m Lily Rousseau, a recent architecture graduate with a deep passion for design, especially when it comes to sustainable and functional solutions. Growing up in Newton and witnessing the dynamic evolution of Boston's built environment over the years has inspired me and fueled my desire to get involved. The collaborative nature of architecture excites me, and I am always eager for opportunities to expand my knowledge and grow within the field. Outside of my design work, you can find me hiking, enjoying live music, or exploring new places. I'm looking forward to connecting with like-minded professionals and contributing to impactful and innovative projects.

University of Massachusetts Amherst

B.S. Architecture

Minor in Art History

B.S. of Architecture program consisted of foundational arts courses my freshman year, as well as design studios each semester for my remaining years. These studios introduced me to the Adobe programs and Rhino 3D, as well as allowed me to further develop my knowledge of Revit and Lumion. I additionally was able to take multiple Building Construction & Technology courses, as well as pursue a minor in Art History. 

2016-2020

Newton North High School

Enrolled in the architectural drafting program all four years, where I was first introduced to programs such as Revit and Lumion. My classmates and I were additionally sponsored to take the LEED Green Associates Exam in 2019, becoming some of the first high school students to pass the exam in the United States!

Capital Projects Management

Assisted design staff in the preparation of construction scoping documents using AutoCAD & Revit for various capital projects. Prepared 3-dimensional photo simulation representations of project work, typically done using a combination of Revit/AutoCAD, Photoshop, and Lumion, to be used in the approval of proposed
projects by the Senior Administration of Boston College. Consistently got experience visiting project sites under construction, as well as attending and participating in job meetings involving the Owner, Architect & Contractor.
